The sixth edition of the World Forum on Local Economic Development (VI WFLED) will be held from 1 to 4 April 2025 in Seville, Spain.

Seville, the capital of Andalusia, is the fourth largest city in Spain and is famous for its stunning architecture, which reflects its Arab, Renaissance, and Baroque history. This is showcased in iconic landmarks such as the Giralda, a former Almohad tower that is part of the Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, the Royal Alcázar, the Torre del Oro, and the Plaza de España, all of which attract millions of tourists each year.

Andalusia is an autonomous community rich in history, culture, and diverse landscapes. It is the most populous region in Spain, with geography that ranges from the Sierra Nevada mountains to the beaches of the Costa del Sol, and it enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters.

The region boasts a profound historical heritage, shaped by the influence of civilizations such as the Phoenicians, Romans, and especially the Arabs during the Al-Andalus period. This legacy is evident in iconic monuments like the Alhambra in Granada and the Mosque-Cathedral in Córdoba.

Cities such as Seville, Granada, Málaga, and Córdoba attract millions of tourists with their historical significance and beauty.

The venue of the VI WFLED will be the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Sevilla (FIBES), a key point for the celebration of international congresses, trade fairs, exhibitions and other large-scale events, playing a crucial role in the economic and cultural life of Seville and attracting both tourism and business to the city.

FIBES is strategically located close to the Seville-San Pablo Airport and well connected to the city centre, making it easily accessible for international visitors.
