Experiences of local management of tourism, cultural and environmental development

Within the framework of the 6th World Forum on Local Economic Development (WFLED), a series of thematic visits will complement the agenda planned at the Seville Conference Centre and will allow participants to learn about real cases of local economic development in Andalusia.

These parallel activities aim to illustrate how endogenous resources of the territories can be integrated into inclusive and sustainable growth models. Likewise, this agenda will allow attendees to broaden their knowledge of the territory by visiting the cities and provinces of Cordoba, Huelva and Seville.

Through guided tours of emblematic spaces such as the Doñana National Park, the Royal Tobacco Factory of Seville, the historic centre of Seville and the Jewish Quarter and Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, attendees will be able to:

  1. Understand the impact of tourism and heritage conservation on the local economy.
  2. To explore financing strategies, sustainable management and the circular economy approach applied in these territories.
  3. Identify good practices in employment, social inclusion and community participation..

Each of these visits offers a unique perspective on the key themes of the forum, linking local economic development with the territory and its endogenous resources, environmental sustainability and the preservation of cultural identity.

*The agenda may be subject to slight variations depending on the demand and availability of congress participants and collaborating entities in the activity..
