The National Committee of the World Forum of Local Economic Development, formed by the City Council of Seville, the Provincial Council of Seville, the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP), the Regional Government of Andalusia, the Andalusian Agency for International Development Cooperation (AACID) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, met today 14 January together with the Andalusian Fund for International Solidarity (FAMSI) and the UCLG Committee on Local Economic and Social Development in Seville in person.

This fourth board meeting provided an opportunity to exchange different considerations to be considered to finalise important preparations in the coming months. During the morning, progress was made on a program structure that will contain part of the sessions that will be included and the type of event they will be. In the second part of the day, other details about the venue, the cultural program, technical visits, institutional receptions, mobility and transport, and visas were shared.

The importance of communication and mobilisation of the forum by other partners and stakeholders and the involvement of other institutional departments in this was also emphasised. A meeting of the Communication Committee will take place on Friday 17 January to share materials and objectives. The next meeting of the International Committee will be held on 28 and 29 January to make progress on other details.

The meeting was attended by Francisco Toajas, Provincial Deputy of the Seville Provincial Council and President of the UCLG Committee on Local Economic and Social Development; José Luis García, Councillor of Seville City Council; Manuel Redaño and Emilio Rabasco, Manager and Director of FAMSI respectively; Elena Fernández, Deputy Director General for Policy Planning and Coherence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation; Pilar Moreno, Head of Area at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; Diego Jordano, General Coordinator of the FAMP; Celia Rosell Martí, Director of the Andalusian Agency for Development Cooperation; José Antonio Martínez Marín, Deputy Director of the Andalusian Agency for Development Cooperation; and Xavier Mestres, Technical Coordinator of the World Forum of Local Economic Development.
