International Labor Organization (ILO)

International Organizations and Development Agencies Organizing Partners

The ILO brings together representatives of governments, employers and workers from the 187 UN member states to establish labor standards, develop policies and design programs that promote decent work for all. In the context of LED, it is supporting constituents in the integrated elaboration of decent work strategies for local development by building local capacity for effective policy formulation, systemic development planning and strategy implementation. Their increasing efforts to create comprehensive territorial development programs are likely to make territories less vulnerable to external economic forces and more dependent on their own economic potential.
