Christian Victor Alanis Siles, graduated from the Military School of Engineering of Bolivia (EMI),where he specialized in social development projects. He worked as External Consultant in the Export Area (2002) and as Project Manager in the Department of Foreign Trade at BOLMADEX: Bolivia Timber Export (2003).
He worked as Financial Administrative Assistant of the General Directorate of Prevention and Rehabilitation of the Deputy Ministry of Social Defense (August – December 2002).
He was member of the United Nations Organization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo – MONUC (2004-2005).
Appointed Director for Bolivia, and subsequently appointed as Director of International Relations and Technical Cooperation of the Organization for the Development of Latin America and the Caribbean – ONWARD International (2006-2015).
During the years 2014 and 2015, he was the General Coordinator of the project in the Design and Implementation of the Social Inclusion Program focused on the use of Solid Waste in the Municipality of Itagüí – Department of Antioquia – Colombia.
He was democratically elected Titular Director of the Society of Engineers of Bolivia, Departmental Santa Cruz (SIB-SC), from 2015 to 2016.
He is the current President of the Board of Directors of the Agency of International Cooperation for Development – Agencia Continental S.R.L., headquartered in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra – Bolivia and the city of Medellín – Colombia.
Under his direction and leadership, training and exchange of successful experiences in the design and implementation of projects through cooperation, technical assistance and integration were organized for leaders, authorities, entrepreneurs and academics from diverse countries, such as: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Spain, England, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
Governor of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of the Comoros
Abdou Salami Abdou is the Governor of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan of the Union of the Comoros.
Graduated in 2002 from the Faculty of Medicine of Majunga, he temporarily replaced a doctor on the Mamoudzou hospital at the Isle of Mayotte during from 2006 to 2007. In France, he pursued his specialization studies at the University of Bordeaux, where he obtained his Emergency Medicine Degree.
Since the return to his hometown, Abdou Salami Abdou was the Chief of Emergency Service at the Hospital Centre of Hombo, from 2007 to 2008, and the Secretary General of Social Affairs, in 2009. He was also the Minister of Health of the Island of Anjouan, position that he held from July 2008 to July 2009. His rigor and honesty have been greatly appreciated by the population of Anjouan.
Being a distinguished supporter of the sambiste movement (named after its leader Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi), Abdou Salami Abdou was elected deputy of the Seventh Constituency to the Assembly of the Union of the Comoros, in 2009.
After spending four years in the Comorian Parliament, he was nominated the official candidate of the Juwa party for the election of the Governors of the islands and occupied, during the second quarter of 2016, the seat of the Supreme Judge of the island of Anjouan. Since the 23th of May 2016, he has held the position of Governor of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan for a five-year term.
Responsible of Multilateral Organizations and North America for the Secretary General of Foreign Affairs of the Basque Government
Estibaliz Urcelay received her Diploma of European Law, Postgraduate course at the University of Picardie Jules Verne in 1996. She has a Master’s degree in European Studies and a Law degree from the university of Deusto, Bilbao.
Shortly after finishing her studies she joined as Technical for External Action of the Cabinet of International Relations of the Institute of Women, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Basque Government. She was also Technical of Gender equality in the Basque Institute for Women – EMAKUNDE (2000), and supported local development plans and programs and international cooperation at the Technology and Development consultants (2001-2002).
Mrs. Urcelay provided technical assistance to projects at the ADOS Consulting Ikertaldea firm (2001-2002), and she was the responsible for projects and institutional relations at the UNHCR-ACNU, the Basque Committee of the UN agency for Refugees (2003-2005).
Since 2005, she is the responsible of Multilateral Organizations and North America for the Secretary General of Foreign Affairs of the Basque Government.
